Makia Epie explained How to Unlock Frozen Car Doors In Seconds on Youtube –
I live in Texas because I do not want to be doing this, get some cold water, some salt, put some salt in the cold water about a tea spoon and head out. Pour water gently on the handles, dissolve the ice. All clean.
Same thing on the other handles, and now you can unlock and your car is unlocked. Voila, you have unlocked the car. That took just a few seconds to do, I was thinking I was going to be stranded because I did not have the ice…Now I am good to go.
I will turn the car on and let it warm up!
While this seemed like a good and fast way to unlocking a frozen car door, a lot of viewers however disagreed saying that adding a water/ salt solution will make the car handles rusty. While some argued that just pouring hot water on the car handles will suffice, others commended Mark for the initiative insisting that they tried this system and it worked for their cars!
A number of viewers even advised that he pees on his car which is a better alternative to using sale/ water solution.
Considering the fact that there is the possibility of the salt in the water eroding the car paint and even the car locks, this spell more danger for using salt and water solution to remove ice from cars.
A viewer also advised that he put some normal oil in the car key holes after opening the car. What do you guys think? Is it safe to use salt-water solution to unlock cars because it is a faster way? Have you tried this before? What results did you get? Please share in the comments below!
